The Big Day

Santa Claus and Christmas trees. Reindeer dancing in the breeze.
Candles, lights and pretty things. People seem to take on wings.
Rushing, flying to and fro. Hurriedly they come and go,
Getting ready months ahead, for the Christmas date is set.

Christmas songs are in the air. Christmas joy is everywhere.
Baking cookies, cakes and tarts, cheering many loving hearts.
The world takes on a whole new face as people run the ‘Christmas race.’
“Christ is born this day!” they cry. Christmas business is really high.

I know you’re awfully busy, friend, with gifts to wrap and cards to send.
Just take a moment, rest a bit. And listen to what Jesus said.
“I came to seek and save the lost, it’s yours for free, there is no cost!”
Christ paid the price, He bore it all. Call on Him to save your soul.

Prepare yourself, the time is nigh, when Christ shall meet us in the sky.
When Christ comes to claim His own, many will be left at home.
Too late to plan for that ‘Big Day.’ For then time is cast away!
Eternity is all that’s left, we have the choice of life or death.

Eternity is spent in one of two places. Heaven or HELL, we need to face it.
The date for the BIG DAY has been set and God’s prerequisite must be met.
Let us be ready far ahead, for time is but a thin, worn thread.
And so we must examine ourselves for worldly junk and earthly wealth

Will ALL pass away…GONE…they will be…
Each soul shall pass into ETERNITY!
