There’s so much I want to say to you
I really want to thank you, too
For all the things that you have done
Especially for letting me marry your son
Who is so much more to me
Than I ever imagined a husband could be.
Thanks for all the advice you give
For with it my life is simpler to live
Thanks for the love and encouragement too
Understanding and patience, when my task is so new
And on the days when everything’s wrongs
Thanks for helping me along.
I just really thank the Lord and you
For all you’ve done to help me through
The ‘getting-used-to’ stage and making me
Feel so much a part of your family,
I know that God will daily bless
Your life with love and happiness!
