You have realized your need of salvation
You have answered the calling of God
You have sought Him through tearful repentance
You have turned from the paths you have trod
Your interest and outlooks on life have changed
You’ve given up things you had treasured
No longer they hold that same happiness
For Jesus gives joy beyond measure!
O yes, your life has been changed, I can see,
I’m so very thankful for this!
I can’t help but ask with a burdened heart
What prevents you from having God’s peace?
We must search this problem out fully,
What haven’t you done as you should?
Have you asked the dear Lord to forgive you?
Oh yes! That’s the first thing you would!
You have given up things that are worldly,
For what do they benefit you?
In living a life for the Lord who desires
For you to be faithful and true.
Have you made your sincere restitutions,
To those whom you know that you should?
God will give you the strength and the courage
Just ask Him and surely He would!
Pray, believing with faith, never waver
God will answer each sincere prayer
And grant you His peace from above
A peace full of love and of care.
Peace, precious peace, God’s promise to us
Sent down from heaven above,
A gentle, sweet peace only God can give,
To remind of His infinite love!
