Open the Door

My Savior stands at the door of your heart
Knocking, pleading your soul to restore
Longing to enter, He will not depart,
Waiting for you to open the door.

My Savior calls, “I will save you from sin.
Remove guilt and stains forevermore
In your heart, in your life, peace I will bring,
But first you must open the door!”

My Savior sent someone to care for your soul,
Someone who wrestles in prayer o’er and o’er,
Longing to see you made perfectly whole
The moment you open the door.

My Savior has promised life up above,
No sorrow or pain, no famine or war,
Just glory and joy; just gladness and love!
Why don’t you open the door?
