Dear soul, my heart aches and bleeds inside
For you, ‘cause you don’t have the Savior as Guide
You, who are close to my heart, dear soul
You do know the way to be made whole.
You know how you must come to the Lord
For were you not raised and taught in His Word?
You know that sin is just for a season
And yet you continue in senseless reason
Doing things again and again
Knowing full well that God calls it sin
Knowing too, these pleasures don’t last
For you have sinned many times in the past.
The satisfaction you get is so small
Do you really think it’s worth it all?
Submit your heart and soul and mind
To Jesus Christ, for He is kind
And always ready to forgive
Those who choose for Him to live
He loves you; yes, He loves you so
Much more than you could ever know
He gives a joy, a peace that’s lasting
And promises to you, life everlasting.
So please, dear soul, don’t turn away
Ask Jesus into your life today
Your life will be changed, He’ll make it new
You’ll be amazed at all He will do!
He’s promised to be all forgiving
And give to you real joy in living!
