You have wandered far into
This world of sin,
You have found there is nothing
You could ever win.
The temporary things are all
That you have found
Even though you’ve searched,
And looked all around.
You know that you are seeking…
Something lasting and true,
But finding things that fall apart,
IS all you ever do.
Then you get disappointed
And long to cry to God,
But find your heart has hardened
To all His joys abroad!
You have destroyed yourself,
By your determined rejection
Of God’s own wondrous love
And His Divine protection.
Why can’t you understand,
God loves you too?
And just now is the time,
He’s calling you.
God will not always be near
To answer when you cry;
He’s knocking now, but He
Will leave you by and by
So don’t turn Him away
Or hide your face
Why don’t you today?
Accept His grace.
