Unhappy, discouraged, weary and worn
Your life seems so empty, dark and forlorn.
Others seem happy, but you question, “Are they?”
You know they found Jesus, the Life and the way
You question, “Don’t they have problems like I?
Don’t things go wrong? Don’t plans go awry?
You know they have Jesus beside them each day
To lead them and guide them each step of the way,
To cheer them up when things go wrong,
To comfort with a word or song,
To fill their hearts and lips with singing,
To encourage, admonish and assure they are winning.
Jesus is pleading and waiting for you today
Willing to forgive and to show you the way
He calls you, He loves you, He cares for your soul
He wants you to be happy and perfectly whole
To become one of His, a sister or brother
And join all the others rejoicing together.
Satan offers temporary happiness and laughter
Which ends in death and hell and permanent disaster
Jesus offers pardon and peace beyond compare
If you would serve Him faithfully resisting Satan’s snare,
He’ll help you to live a life that is pleasing
And give you eternal life and joy unceasing!
