I sit here and watch the world go by
Thinking nothing more than you and I
I can’t help but praise our God above
As my heart is overwhelmed with love
For the man that God has given me
Who has come to mean so much to me.
For in my thoughts and dreams of you
There’s so much that I want to do
To plan and be and have a part
Of all the dreams within your heart
To work, to play, to love and laugh
Together on our journey’s path.
Dear Dave, let’s do grow old together
To always depend on one another
To lean on, to hold, to just be there
Despite this life with its daily cares
For I need you more as the years go by
When God brought us together, He sure knew why.
For when times are hard and times are fair
I’m just so glad that you are there
Your commitment, your love, to one such as I
At times overwhelms me, this I can’t deny
I’m glad I’m your wife and give God all the praise
As I love you now, so I’ll love you for always!
