The Shower

The invitation, it came in the mail
I read through it quickly and let out a wail!
A gift with initials? I promptly turned pale.

I thought to myself, “Oh, what a pain
I do love a shower. Now will have to use my brain.
To pick out a gift that starts like my name.”

“I need advice, what starts with T.A.?”
I mentioned to friends over lunch one day.
They did try to help. But, what can I say?

So off on a shopping spree, with my daughter, went I
Explaining my dilemma with a wearisome sigh.
After listening carefully, she simply asked, “Why?”

We strolled here and there, down every aisle
She soon stopped and looked and asked with a smile,
“Mom, when will we travel? Is has been a while.”

“Look at these tiny shampoos, they’re so sweet
And the tissues and toothpaste, isn’t this neat?”
Soon it became clear, our gift would be complete!

So here is a basket, stuffed full of necessities
Some frills and suds amidst life’s complexities.
Sure hope you can use these TRAVEL ACCESSORIES!
