Mother

You’re someone very sweet and kind
Whose heart with mine does closely bind
So understanding, full of love
My thanks do flow to God above
For giving me a mother who
Does love and care as much as you.

You’ve taught me much, you’ve shown the way
To God and His love and how I should pray
You’ve helped me to realize you really do care
And are willing to all of my problems share
Oh how can I thank you, what can I say?
To show you I really am grateful each day.

I know I hurt you many times
I can see why you’re upset at times
But you’re ready and willing to forgive
And I always will as long as I live
Love you for being the person you are
My mother, so kind and the greatest by far!
