Concern

So many souls I love, are walking down life’s way
Not looking to God above, for help for every day

Bound in chains of sin, a prison dark and cold
They’ll try everything, so others think they’re bold

Then Satan gives to them a little thrill
Deeper into sin they go, and deeper still

They cannot find the joy they’re looking for
Soon Satan will destroy them evermore

How my heart aches for them and bleeds inside
I’ve watched them live in sin; how much I’ve cried

If only they could see the joys I hold
Since Jesus rescued me from sin’s strong hold

Can I encourage them? What can I say?
To let them know I care; to show the way?

To make them realize fully that they can really live
A precious Peace and joy, does Jesus freely give!

That Jesus for them loves and cares, He’ll satisfy each one
He’ll free from them the devil’s snare and lead them safely on

What is it that I can do? What shall I say?
I’ll do what Christ commands me to…
I’ll pray and pray and pray!
