How quickly another year passed by
I cannot help but smile and sigh
Praise and thanksgiving flows to You
For caring and for seeing me through
The moments of joy, and moments of peace
And also the times when sweet release
Seemed far away when I went astray
Yet You were just a prayer away.
Jesus, this year has been hard for me
For there were ways You allowed to be
In order to teach me some lessons from You
Oh yes, how I’ve learned, my thanks flows anew!
O Savior, I thank You for helping me see
Thanks too, for bringing me back to You
Forgiving and filling me with Your Peace anew
Help me Jesus, to never forget
That this lesson has already been met
That I’ve learned so much that I needed
And my life once more has been ‘weeded’
O Jesus that I may forever be
In true and deep humility
Submitted to You and Your perfect will
And learn to wait and to pray and be still.
