If I could reach out and touch you
This is how I’d let you know
How very much I love you
And how much I need you so
I would put my arms around you
And I’d hold you close, and tight
And thank God that His special gift
As friends, does us unite!
Yes, my friend, the time is coming
Though the days seem more like years,
When our hugs will be as common
As the current flow of tears
So whenever you feel lonely
Just remember, God is there
He will wrap His arms around you
And remind you that I care.
