Glory of Man – Life Lessons

Created for the glory of man
To respond with much delight
A picture of the Creator’s plan,
Oh, what an awesome sight
Of God’s most chosen companion
The one He compares to the church
The one He desires to be with
The one for whom He will search.

But alas, this world it is fallen
We now see quite a contortion
As what God intended for pleasure
Has become a twisted distortion.
And so in our gardens we struggle
To keep tiny flowers from death
From weeds that take over and threaten
To stamp out their every last breath.

Yet our Father, our God, our Creator
Will help fight the war on these weeds
By cleansing, transforming and changing
By renewing and planting new seeds.
For to look and to lean on our Savior
Our thoughts and our minds will be changed
With Him as our life-giving Gardener
We’ll be once and for all re-arranged.
