For You

For who can find a man of integrity
Whose worth and value contradicts the world?
He walks not in the counsel of celebrities
But finds delight and strength in Christ, his Lord.

I’m blessed to be joined to a man of such quality
Chose to leave his good life and cleave to reality
To serve God together, this is our life’s goal
In this permanent fusion of body and soul!

We’ve been wed some time now, exchange highs and lows
So grateful that triumphs outnumber our woes.
Though we’re mutually stubborn, and want to be ‘right’
When we reach an agreement, it’s sure a delight!

Dave, I’ve saddened and hurt you, I’ve caused disappointment
Yet louder than ever, I hear your commitment
I sense your deep love knowing you have forgiven
Above and beyond that large number times seven!

I surely do thank you. Now with lives intertwined
I choose to share with you my thoughts and my mind
I again pledge to you, my love and devotion
As we walk on through life with all its commotion.

I’m a much better person because I’m your wife
You have brought so much good all the days of our life.
I pray you forever, who insists on the truth
Will not stop rejoicing in this wife of your youth!
