Lord, thanks so much for all You’ve done
In our separate lives
Help us that we would become
More pleasing in Your eyes
May we in love so patient be
And learn to wait as long
As You would have us wait for Thee
To say, “Now is the time to belong
To each other in pure love
This is My perfect will
I’ve planned your union up above
Your life together I will fill
With joy and happiness untold
And blessings without number
And your separate lives I’ll mold
Together, so you’ll be stronger.”
Yes, Father, You led us together
With pow’r and wisdom from above
So that we might serve You better
As we grow in this great love
Into one another’s hearts and souls.
Now help us Lord to plan
Our life together, and set our goals
According to Your plan.
Remind us Lord, each day anew
That all glory belongs to You!
Give foresight, strength, and wisdom too
That we together would be true.
Teach us Savior how to love
And honor one another
May we always look to You above
And praise Your name forever!
