I searched, I searched, I could not find
Something’s wrong. I’ve confused my mind
I sought with tears, I cried for joy
I long, I accepted, my soul felt destroyed.
I searched, but didn’t find
In trying to understand, I cried
In distress I bowed my head and sighed
A sliver of faith, a thread of hope
I knew without them I couldn’t cope
I prayed and prayed and prayed some more
And soon I felt my spirit soar
As a bird on wings of flight
Darkness began to turn to light
As a veil was lifted by God’s hand
Oh now I see! Praise Him! I understand!
