Gently, tenderly, loving and true
Jesus does daily watch over you
Trying to make you see your need
That to His loving call you’d heed
Willing, longing to give you all
Waiting patiently for you to call.
Call upon Jesus, He’ll give you rest
From the weight of sin upon your breast.
Call upon Jesus, He’ll give you peace
All will be resting, turmoils will cease.
Call upon Jesus, He’ll give you joy
In your heart, fill it full, that none can destroy.
Call upon Jesus, He’ll give you life
Everlasting, without problems or strife.
Call upon Jesus, He is near
To hear your cry and dry your tear.
Call upon Jesus, He’ll give you a reason
To be happy no matter how downcast the season.
Call upon Jesus, He’ll understand
He’ll reach out and lend you a helping hand.
Call upon Jesus, He’ll give you all
That you need each day, if you but call.
